Here in The Paradox Zone, we explore the philosophy of Unbounded Thinking, a problem solving approach which focuses on finding better options instead of choosing among the existing (inadequate) ones.
Unbounded Thinking has several aspects, the main ones being Anchoring and Idea Generation. Anchoring is about obstacles to creative thinking. Taking control of our anchors means learning to identify, understand and overcome them. Practical methods for Idea Generation explore the different techniques for creating more and better alternatives.
Paradox is used as a catalyst in the unbounded thinking process to deal with the most extreme anchors that burden our thinking. For many generations, any answer which even hinted at paradox tended to be dismissed out of hand. We believe this now represents a huge area of opportunity. Integrating Paradox into the problem solving process is the "final stage of enlightenment" within unbounded thinking. The Unbounded Thinking methods embrace the paradoxical nature of human experience, and turn it to advantage.
